Hello & Welcome
My name is Brian Klem. I'm was the Business Teacher at HRVHS for the 24/25 school year and am now the co-adviser for the HRV Business Club in 25/26. Before teaching I spent 20 years as an entrepreneur and business leader in the health and technology sectors.
HRV Business is about students getting real world business experience in a flexible, modern and fun way. I want every student who has the desire to get a leg up in pursuit of a career in a business field, like marketing, operations, finance, or entrepreneurship.
To accomplish this we have our student run businesses, like Tuffy's Closet, the official HRV online store.
I aim to do a lot of fun stuff- such as field trips to innovative company sites, activities like rafting and go-karts, and small group discussions with area business leaders.

Field Trips
Our goal is to have 1-2 major field trips this school year. The current thought is to do this at an innovative employer and follow it with a fun activity like TopGolf or paddling.
Create & Run Businesses
Have a business idea? We'll help you start it. More interested in learning business through running one of ours? We can do that too.
The more money we make the more fun we can have too.
Guest Speakers
We will bring in some of the most interesting business leaders to our school during WIN on Fridays. Not only do we learn about their work, but get a chance to collaborate on win-win deals.
